About Santa Cruz Tattoo
Established in 1991, Santa Cruz Tattoo has long been part of the fabric of Santa Cruz culture. The shop is owned by Shannon Cullen, who has been tattooing in the Bay Area since 1997 and acquired the studio in 2019 with a deep respect for the craft, culture, and legacy that first drew him to tattooing.
Located just steps from the Wharf and Boardwalk, the shop’s beachside setting is as iconic as its history — a place where tradition, community, and modern tattooing come together.
